The addendum restricts the model providers; Zendesk's own use of Service Data for its models is governed by the main agreement and DPA rather than stated here.
“3.1 Service Data. Between the Parties, Customer is the sole owner of all Service Data which includes Customer AI Input and AI Output. If Customer uses Generative AI Services, Service Data will not be used by any LLM Provider for any purpose other than to provide and secure the AI Services.”
“3.2 Zendesk Obligations. Zendesk's obligations under the Agreement and the Data Processing Agreement apply to the AI Services, including obligations with respect to the use of Sub-processors and technical and organizational measures deployed to protect Service Data.”
Zendesk offers regional data hosting per account; the AI addendum makes no separate residency statement.

Assessment
Reasoning: The AI agents and copilots inside a company's Zendesk instance. Model providers are contractually limited to providing the service, the DPA applies, and generative features can be switched off. Region follows the account's Zendesk hosting.
Flags: Providers limited to providing the service · Can be disabled per account · Assessed 2026-09-16. The assessment is Unseen's; the terms above are the vendor's.
Changelog
